Custom Truss Structure for Polaris Snowmobiles at Hay Days 2023
Each September, well before a single snowflake has fallen, Hay Days Grass Dags marks the official start of winter for snowmobilers. During the course of it's 56 year history Hay Days has grown into the largest powersports event in North America. So of course, Polaris Snowmobiles had to be there.
The Request
Polaris was a premier sponsor of this year's event and they reached out to us to create a centerpiece for their exhibit area.
This structure needed to be hardworking, acting as a home base for all of their events, engaging their followers, and of course, highlighting the 2024 line of Polaris Snowmobiles. It was also joining some preexisting event structures making nailing the Polaris branding a must.
Hay Days is held each September in North Branch, Minnesota, which means that anticipating the weather is nearly impossible and our structure had to be rocksolid and ready for anything.
The Plan
With strength and stability as a core project goal we decided to use a 20’x40’ truss structure with custom printed, roof, walls, and leg wraps. And because you never know what the Minnesota weather will bring, we included a set of roof drains.
Most of the sides were left open to encourage people to move in and out, engaging with the snowmobiles and planned events. A series of MONARCHFLAGS let attendees see the Polaris main space from throughout the event and black A-frames provided event info and wayfinding.
An Engaging Photo Op
The Polaris Snowmobile Team didn't waste a single inch of space, the inside of their custom truss wall featured the full line of Polaris Snowmobiles and the outside was printed with a wintery Northern Lights scene and paired with this year's newest snowmobile model to create a fun hands on photo op for Polaris fans.

The Results
The resulting structure looked outstanding, drawing crowds and turning heads all weekend long.
