USDA Turns Heads at National Farmers Market with MONARCHREACH

When the USDA launched VegU, a hands-on produce education program focused on nutrition and sustainability, they knew their space at the popular USDA Farmers Market needed to be more than just functional. It had to be a visual anchor for the market and a welcoming space for education, cooking demos, and community engagement.
Their biggest challenge? Creating a vibrant and accessible experience under a durable structure that could:
- Withstand regular use in a high-traffic public space
- Provide ample shade for visitors and volunteers
- Visually represent the USDA’s mission and VegU’s playful educational tone
- Be configured and branded from every angle
To meet the USDA’s vision, the TentCraft team recommended our 15x15 MONARCHREACH, a premium pop-up tent with an extended canopy overhang. This design offered the shade coverage of a 20x20 tent with the compact footprint and setup ease of a 15x15.
Here’s what made this project stand out:
- Extended Reach Canopy: Extra shade without extra frame size —ideal for demo stations and audience comfort.
- Custom Graphics: USDA branding + VegU-specific illustrations brought the tent to life visually, aligning perfectly with the program’s educational and community-first vibe.
- Half Walls and Counters: Full perimeter coverage with custom counter setups allowed for smooth demo flow and audience interaction.
- In-House Manufacturing: Fast turnaround and tight quality control, thanks to TentCraft’s U.S.-based production.
The finished tent is a focal point of the USDA Farmers Market. With vibrant, educational branding, an inviting layout, and built-in durability, the VegU tent now supports:
- Weekly cooking demos with local produce
- Education on sustainable and urban farming practices
- USDA outreach initiatives like the People’s Garden
By investing in a high-quality, custom-built solution, the USDA created an engaging environment that helps amplify their message of healthy eating and community-supported agriculture.
