Individual Reviews - Don't Just Take Our Word For It

Whether you’re an agency who needs help with a large-scale custom fabrication or a small business owner that needs a pop-up tent with a logo, the reputation of who you choose to work with is paramount.

Do they have experience and examples of projects within your vertical? What about examples of situations where something went wrong? How did they make it right? A big part of any brand’s reputation is shaped by customer feedback and reviews. Here’s what our customers have to say about their experience working with TentCraft.

What Customer Reviews Often Praise

Below are some of the trends we see when we comb through our Trustpilot reviews and bucket them into themes.

Communication and Customer Service

Without a doubt, the number one topic of our most positive reviews centers on how our team made the experience positive for our customers. We're extremely proud of the quality of service our people offer.

You'll be speaking with dedicated sales team members and client services representatives who work together to see your event products through the entire process.

They'll act on your behalf, directly communicating with all of our departments (art, engineering, fabrication, printing, shipping) to ensure quality of product and delivery experience are achieved. Think of it as having your internal project management team.

Quality of the Product

Our teams of engineers, fabrication experts, and production leads are constantly pushing to make improvements to all of our product lines. We want the best materials and techniques that result in the best products on the market.

That means frames that are durable without being cumbersome in weight, print capabilities that ensure an exact brand match, canopies that can handle outdoor conditions and won't peel or crack with age.

Whether you're ordering one of our pop-up canopy tents, a custom truss setup, or simply going for softgoods and signage, we're pushing ourselves to improve every day. This is a big part of the reason we manufacture (no just assemble) as much as we can here in our US headquarters. It allows us to control for quality.

Quick Turnaround Times  and Setting Shipping Expectations

Shipping and deadlines can be tricky for a lot of companies. You'll see variations of 3-5 day turnaround times across our marketing website, which is true in ideal situations and one of the features that helps us stand out against our competitors, but we're always sure to help set expectations with customers when we get them on the phone.

Depending on what you order, how quickly we can get high resolution art assets, or the season you're placing your order in, we'll be sure to communicate with your team from the get go on when we can turn around your products.

The beauty of manufacturing a lot of our products in-house is that we can shift priorities to meet needed deadlines and even communicate directly with shipping companies about potential delays before they happen.

Addressing Negative Reviews or Internet Conversations

We call these occasional criticisms because 98 percent of all our TrustPilot Reviews are 4 stars and above. That said, we are a company of humans who make mistakes or are subject to supply chains that are out of our control. We went through some of our 1 and 2 star reviews and here is what we found, plus our responses to this type of feedback.

Prices

Customers like yourself can choose from an incredibly wide range of printed canopies and soft goods options on the internet. Performing a Google search around canopy tents will result in everything from $150 dollar Home Depot and Amazon beach tents, to multiple hundreds of dollars for an EZ-UP, to some of the more premium providers like TentCraft, Mastertent, Extreme Canopy, Instant Promotion, etc.

Naturally, the wide array of prices you see can create sticker shock and even disbelief for buyers who:

1) Are unfamiliar with companies like TentCraft offering different customizations, custom design and engineering, cost of buying and manufacturing different frame materials in-house, frame size and thickness, different canopy tops and soft good materials, print techniques and color matching abilities.

2) Are looking for a tent that's only going to be used 1 or 2 times a year at their family barbeque.

With our lifetime warranties on our heavy-duty aluminum frames and 7-year warranty on 600d polyster pop-up canopies, the model is more of "1 frame for life and replace the canopy as needed (rebrands, etc.)." That's more suited for companies making an investment in their brand at regular events.

This is an opposite approach to the cheaper, flimsier frames companies buy in from China with thinner, printed canopies that offer 6 standard colors and the ability to slap a logo on it - only for customers to discard them next year.

*AND we fully acknowledge we aren't the company for everyone. If you don't need a fully custom setup for that one event you're throwing this summer, it's perfectly reasonable to find a cheaper option.

Wrong Parts Sent or Missing Part

As our own systems and processes evolve, we try and remove the ability of our team members to make mistakes, but with a lot of customization, a high volume of orders, last minute changes, accidental key strokes, and incorrect button clicks - we have accidentally sent the wrong number of things, a different size, or accidentally removed an item.

We have a lot of checks, approvals...and more confirmations in place for both our team and the customer to catch these mistakes, but we're not perfect. We continue to improve this process and with more automation and fewer manual entries, we'll continue to see fewer and fewer of these issues.

Again, these are rare occurrences, but when they do happen, people are justifiably upset and leave reviews.

We'll always try to  make it right.

Our sales and client services team members are personally involved in every project we work on all the way through your event - and hopefully through the years whenever you need branded event products.

When we don't meet expectations and it's our fault, we will work with you to make it right.
