Detroit Catholic Central High School took its team shelter to another level with a custom 10'x20' mightyTENT featuring a fully enclosed tent wall system, clear vinyl windows, a zippered entrance, and extensive custom graphics showcasing the Shamrocks and their local sponsors.

For cross country and track & field teams, competition days often involve long hours outdoors, unpredictable weather, and athletes preparing for events throughout the day.

Detroit Catholic Central's setup brings together 200 square feet of covered team space with practical features designed for the realities of outdoor school athletics.

The Goals For Catholic Central’s 10’x20’ Pop-Up Setup

For cross country and track & field programs, a well-equipped team shelter should accommodate the practical demands of competition days while creating a recognizable home base for athletes, coaches, volunteers, family, and event staff.

Detroit Catholic Central's setup demonstrates how three important priorities can come together:

Accommodate Athletes Through Changing Weather Conditions

Fall and spring competitions can bring chilly mornings, wind, rain, and even snow, along with plenty of sunny days. An enclosable tent gives athletes a place to get out of the elements when necessary, while removable walls allow the space to open up for better airflow and shaded coverage when the weather cooperates.

Provide Ample Space for the Team Size and Event Flow

As you all know, track and cross country meets can involve long afternoons and weekends with athletes routinely gathering and dispersing, preparing for different events, and keeping personal belongings as well as team equipment nearby. The right size tent footprint provides additional room to accommodate safe storage and a portion of your team throughout the day.

Establish a Recognizable Home Base for the Program

With multiple schools competing at the same venue, a distinctively branded shelter gives athletes, coaches, and families an easy way to find their team. Detroit Catholic Central's setup also incorporates prominent sponsor graphics, giving the organizations supporting its athletic programs visibility at meets.

The TentCraft & Detroit Catholic Central Solution

TentCraft and Detroit Catholic Central brought together a thoughtful combination of features to create a team shelter that's ready for just about anything a typical meet day can throw at it.

The foundation is a custom 10'x20' medium-duty mightyTENT, providing 200 square feet of covered space for athletes to gather, prepare for competition, and keep their belongings and team equipment nearby.

One of the best parts of this setup is the fully configurable wall system. When conditions get chilly or windy, the walls can enclose the tent to provide additional protection from the elements. Clear vinyl windows across the upper sections let natural light in so athletes aren't sitting inside a dark, enclosed space and can still see what's happening outside.

The zippered entrance is another smart detail. Athletes and coaches can come and go without having to remove an entire wall or leave a large opening exposed.

And when the weather cooperates? The front walls can come off to create an open, shaded gathering space while keeping the back and sides covered. On warmer days, all the walls can be removed for a completely open-air setup.

The attention to detail carries through to the branding. Catholic Central's royal blue canopy features the Shamrocks name and school crest, while the printed walls showcase the athletic programs and the school's Where Tradition Meets Excellence messaging. Together, these details create a recognizable home base for athletes, coaches, and families to find their team among the many schools competing at a meet.

The sponsors also have a prominent place in the design, with Hines Park Ford and Hines Park Lincoln graphics incorporated into the walls for visibility throughout the season.
